Evergreen Park Recruitment

The EP Family

We are extremely fortunate to have some of the best educators in the area serving our students. These dedicated teachers, support staff, administrators, cooks, custodians, and more are the lifeblood of our school district and provide amazing care and support to every student that enters our doors.

We serve a diverse community of learners and want our students to see their backgrounds and cultures reflected in our staff. D124 embraces and celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do, which is reflected in our dedication to professional development, hiring practices, and day-to-day life in our buildings.

I chose to join the EP Family and work at Evergreen Park Elementary School District 124 because I have been a parent in this community for 15 years and my child has had the opportunity to grow and learn in ways that I never imagined. The care and attention that this education system offers is amazing and it makes me proud to be part of the community and the District 124 Team. Everyone is so welcoming and warm and that is important for professional development because you never feel like you are on your own.

I have been at Northeast school for 23 years and I knew this district was the right fit for me! From day one, I felt like a part of this community. I have developed relationships with families and am still in contact with students from over 20 years ago. Watching my former students being successful, having families, and keeping in touch with EP is amazing.  We have a very diverse group of learners and can learn so much from each other because of that. Our staff is much more of a community working together than anything else!

I chose to be part of the D124 community because I am from this area. Serving my community is such a special experience. You really get to know your students and families. You can form close relationships that last for years. This sense of community and teamwork turn a teaching job into a passion and life purpose. The best thing about working at D124 is the community feeling built around everything we do. The staff in each building supports and cheers on their peers through everything from life milestones to daily teaching.

I believe District 124 is an exceptional place to work because  everyone is working towards the same goal; student success. I feel incredibly lucky to work with teachers and staff that want the best for all students and value one another as resources. Parents and caregivers place an importance on creating positive partnerships with teachers in order to help their children. When I come to work each day I look forward to seeing what my students are capable of and their willingness to learn new things.

I’ve worked in the district since 2009 and working at D124 feels like home.  We are a family, and there’s always something going on that makes learning fun! The best thing about working at D124 is that staff, students, and families work together creating a great atmosphere.
